Trivia

One character makes a brief, jaundiced reference to David Hasselhoff being in town. Hasselhoff was indeed a minor figure in German pop culture during the period surrounding the fall of the Berlin Wall. In a March 2013 piece in London's The Guardian, Emma Hartley reported that his song "Looking for Freedom" was number one on the German charts for eight weeks in the summer of 1989 (several months before the wall fell in November 1989); and on New Year's Eve that year, Hasselhoff performed a concert atop what was then left of the wall. Goofs

After the fight in the apartment with the blond thug she gets in a car and takes off. The thug jumps on the hood and she shoots him running him over afterwards. The car does not move as if it just ran over a body. Her escape is blocked and she takes off in reverse. The body is no longer there nor is the black car she shot before and flipped over several times. See more »

Quotes

David Percival: So, what have I learned after all this time? After all the sleepless nights, lying to friends, lovers, myself? Playing this crooked game in this crooked town filled with backstabbers and four-faced liars? I'll tell you what I've learned. One thing and one thing only. I fucking love Berlin!

If you want some adrenaline...
13 August 2017 | by See all my reviews

You do not want to have anything to do with Charlise Theron, believe you me! If you are a man and you had dreams of being a big macho guy, you were all wrong, you haven't met Lorraine Broughton yet, her character in "Atomic Blonde". She's stronger than men, she's fighting with more than one at a time, she's very bad. And, at the end, she kills them. She's gonna kick your ass too, no matter you'll do! Charlize Theron is cool just like the ice cubes in those bath-tube she takes in the movie. The other actors are OK, but due to Charlize's extremely strong personality, they all seem to be just a bunch of extras. Very good action, dynamically, nervously and spectacularly filmed. Good '80s music too, Peter Schilling - Major Tom, Re-Flex - The Politics Of Dancing, After The Fire - Der Kommissar, David Bowie - Cat People(Putting Out Fire), etc. Very good job, Charlize!
